Since 2019, offering consultancy services as well as embedded “executive in residence” engagements for organizations during periods of growth. Main focus has been on serving value-based and global healthcare clients.  

Sample Engagements

  • Over four (2019-2023) years, based extensively in Dubai and Riyadh, served as the senior-most market executive to a large American healthcare system expanding to the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Established from zero the client's MENA/ Asian markets.  On behalf of the client, co-led a joint venture with a multi-national conglomerate partner.  

    • Awarded the contract to design and operate healthcare for a Saudi sovereign wealth fund financed Gigaproject.  Project included the planning and operation of the regional emergency service, a next-generation multi-specialty hospital, and ambulatory clinics spread over 28,000 sq.km.

    • Directly oversaw contract value exceeding $675M.

    • On behalf of the client, negotiated a joint venture with a large Saudi Arabian health insurer to develop and operate a national chain of high-touch next-generation, accountable, primary care clinics.

    • On behalf of the client, was awarded a multi-year contract by a national Ministry of Health to develop healthcare facilities, establishing the foundation for the region's first accountable care organization.

  • For two years, supported an American, tech-enabled, integrated healthcare insurance company and primary care medical group. Guided the clinical design and implementation of a virtual primary care offering, providing primary care in ten US markets.  Served as the client's clinical architect; developed a care model, in-person strategy, organizational structure, external provider partnerships, and HR and recruitment strategies.

  • Over a two-year period, based in the Middle East, served as an embedded clinician executive to the Qatar government's Ministry of Health.   Led work to modernize the national emergency service. 

  • Advised a MENA-based integrated medical group with hospitals and medical centers in Africa, Asia and Europe, as they began a pivot to risk-based contracts. 

  • Over four years. advised a Cambridge MA based startup company building a platform for AI-assisted interpretation of radiographic images.

  • Over four years advised a Cambridge MA based startup company building a suite of tools and services to treat depression.

  • Over four years advised a Boston based startup company offering a chat platform connecting patients to nurses. Customers include risk-bearing groups and insurance companies.
